Jodi joined the Technology = Equality Community for episode #19 to share how her entrepreneurial journey and how networking can propel your career forward. This year we discuss the evolution of her practice and celebrate Jodi’s tenth year in business and the release of the audio book companion to Jodi’s best selling book, Accomplished: How to Go from Dreaming to Doing. Listen in as Jodi and I discuss how a business is a lot like a marriage.
Take a step back from your business to evaluate the relationships you have and the impact they have on your journey. Who did you enjoy working with most and what worked from what didn’t work. Take note of what you can afford to provide to your audience. Create the resources you know are needed, to serve the portion of your audience, it wouldn’t serve your practice to dedicate time to daily. Determine your goals, create a schedule and commit to taking action to accomplish them!
No entrepreneur starts off as a pro, we all have a trial and error phase. It’s impossible to understand who your ideal client is until you begin serving. You do not need to have the entire foundation of your practice created to start. The more people you interact with and serve, the more you will understand who you want to work with and how you can serve them best.
Jodi and I would love to see video editing software that simplifies the process of perfecting a video biography.
